Yes. You can define the starting number of the pagination. For example, if your document is chapter 3 of a book starting at page 47, you can set the starting number to 47.
Yes. There is an option to skip the first page, so visible numbering starts on the second page. The cover will not show a number even though it is counted internally.
You can use standard Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3), lowercase Roman numerals (i, ii, iii), or uppercase (I, II, III). You can also add extra text like 'Page 1 of 10'.
