Our mission
Convertir.ai was born from a simple frustration: every time you need to convert a file, you face tools that require signup, add watermarks, or limit you to 2-10 daily conversions. Then they ask $10-25/month for what should be free.
We decided to build the platform we wanted to use: completely free, no signup, no watermark, no limits. With a key technical innovation: most conversions happen directly in your browser, without sending your files to any server.
How it works
Convertir.ai uses modern web technologies to process files without servers:
- Canvas API for image conversion and editing
- pdf-lib.js for PDF tools (merge, split, rotate, page numbers)
- Web Crypto API for secure password and hash generation
- Pure JavaScript for text, data, and code conversion

Our philosophy
We believe basic file conversion tools should be free and accessible to everyone. We don't monetize with artificial limits or blocked features. Our model is based on utility: if our tools are the best and fastest, users will return.

Technology
Built with Next.js 16, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS 4, deployed on Cloudflare Pages. File processing uses the browser's Canvas API (images), pdf-lib.js (PDFs), and pure JavaScript (text/data). The only runtime dependency is pdf-lib.js — everything else is native browser code.
